Our mindset and beliefs are fundamental to our success and happiness. We shape our lives and our future by the beliefs we have about ourselves, and the world around us. After all, we are where we are today because of the beliefs we had yesterday.

So how can we identify and shift the limiting beliefs that are holding us back?

To discover the beliefs that are keeping us stuck, we first need to identify which areas in our lives are ‘stuck’.

Perhaps it’s your finances, your career, or a relationship. Take a deeper look at what is not working right now and be specific. Examine your thoughts.

What thoughts or beliefs do you have around this particular area of your life?

Set aside 20 minutes, grab a pen and paper and let it pour out of you.

For example, you may have a thought lurking around that you are unworthy or not good enough and so you push away opportunities to build deeper relationships, earn more money or go for a career that is more fulfilling.

When a belief or thought is not serving you and holding you back from being your best self, it must be challenged if you are to allow yourself to lead a rich and fulfilling life.

The most important thing to recognise, is that these beliefs are not true!

Here are my 4 questions to help you start to identify and break free from limiting beliefs that are holding you back.

  • What beliefs do you have about yourself that is holding you back?
  • What beliefs do you have about the world that is holding you back?
  • What beliefs do you need to have to create the life you want?
  • What beliefs do you need to have about the world to support you in achieving your dreams?
